Can I continue to operate my business if I have filed for bankruptcy? | Patrick McBurney Attorney at Law

Can I continue to operate my business if I have filed for bankruptcy?

The answer to this question is that it depends if you are in the kind of business where you do not have a lot of material, assets, or equipment. You may very well be able to continue to operate your business and be able to get rid of your debts. If you have assets and equipment, you may very well be able to use Chapter 13 to reorganize a small business. If you are a corporation, you may have to file Chapter 11 to reorganize that business.
